WHERE IS – the dance list: the dances on the board for the night are listed per date, sometimes folks miss them as you need to scroll to the bottom on a mobile device.
Click the calendar, click the date, and scroll to the bottom. Dances are listed once a week usually by Sunday afternoon.
BOOKINGS – For first time Cinders site users please choose a date from the calendar and register your details.
You should receive an email pending followed by a confirmation email (can take a while as these are confirmed manually) with all your booking details included.
Note bookings open aprox 3-4 weeks prior to the date. If a date is fully booked, there is a “Wait list” as seat bookings change all the time.
For all further dance bookings, you simply login to the Main Members/Parent Site – https://4ballroom.dance – the link is at the bottom of each site.
Choose – forgot password if it’s the first time there (using the same email you used to book with) and complete that process.
- Main site – Choose My Settings (should take you there by default)
- Click on Manage bookings to deal with all Dance Operators/Venues you have booked dates with
- Click the Dance Operator (Cinders) from the drop-down list you wish to book new date/s with.
WHY IS THERE MORE THAN ONE SITE?
Basically the Dance Co-op is a membership site.
All dance Operators within the Co-op have their own site eg: Cinders.
While dancers within the community, for the most part participate and attend numerous Dance Operators.
Simple log-in to one point and manage all bookings using the same process, (booking and attendance register) or alternately visiting each Dance Operator as an individual business.
Note also, as you are now part of the main site, you can add your own stories, queries, information etc (eg: largest Australian Dance History Project) anytime. Choose the tab My New Posts
WHY DO I HAVE TO REGISTER AT THE DANCE AND BOOK ONLINE?
To comply Dances are required to restrict attendance numbers and have a record of bookings and a record of in-person attendances.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH MY DETAILS?
To comply with COVID requirements at present, we keep your attendance records “in confidence” for fifty-six (56) days.
Your email will be added to our mailing list (unless you ask us not to) to assist with contact for all dance attendees. (Example, changed times, circumstances, next dance etc)
We may also text using the mobile provided, if we need to ensure urgent contact (eg: cancelled dance)
HELP – I CAN NOT MAKE A BOOKING!
Please call, email, or use the chat circle at the bottom of the screen and someone will get it sorted.
Because there are literally hundreds of sites in the Co-op , this can happen if you are a member of one site and not another.
eg: you first booked with the Parent Site (supporter member) or “Dance Operator Tuesday Nighters” and now want to book with “Dance Operator Cinders” it is a simple matter of the Dance Operator adding you to their site.
We understand this can be confusing and an imposition we are all unfamiliar with, just reach out if you need assistance.
